V roce 2023 se otevřely nové možnosti pro vývojáře s uvedením restového API mapy.cz. Tato iniciativa poskytla excelentní příležitost pro využití tohoto nástroje napříč vývojovou komunitou. Dříve nebylo legálně možné integrovat mapové dlaždice od mapy.cz do jiných mapových knihoven, jako je Leaflet nebo Mapbox. Samotní provozovatelé mapy.cz aktivně sledovali a postupovali proti nelegálnímu užívání svých dat mimo jejich oficiální API.

Mapové podklady

Pokud se podíváme na dostupné podkladové mapy, výběr pro vývojáře není příliš široký, pokud preferují zcela zdarma dostupné možnosti. Často se uchylují k použití map založených na datech z OpenStreetMap (OSM), které jsou nejčastěji zobrazeny v mapnik stylu. Tyto mapy jsou kvalitní a pro ty, kteří jsou schopni se v mapě orientovat, jsou dobře čitelné. Avšak pro většinu uživatelů nejsou tak intuitivní jako mapy.cz, s nimiž se již setkal téměř každý.

Jak na to?

Použití api je velmi jednoduché, stačí mít účet u seznamu přejít zde
https://developer.mapy.cz/rest-api/jak-zacit/. Následně na stránce uživatelského účtu je nutné si založit projekt a vygenerovat api klíč. Klíčů může mít uživatel i více, avšak všechny odečítají kredity od stejného účtu.

Rozhraní pro správu projektů

Je to opravdu zdarma?

Kolik za to všechno zaplatím? Je to nějak omezené?

Ano je. Základní užití je zdarma, kde každý uživatel po registraci na svůj účet u seznamu má 250 000 kreditů. Pokud aplikace splňuje podmínky, jako je např. veřejně přístupná mapa, mapové podklady pouze od seznamu a uživatel podepíše čestné prohlášení, tak může mít k dispozici až 10 000 000 kreditů za měsíc.

Co všechno mi spotřebovává kredity?

Jelikož se jedná o celé api, které má mnoho funkcí, tak kredity se nečerpají pouze za načtení mapových dlaždic (1 dlaždice/1 kredit) ale i za další služby:

  • 1 dlaždice = 1 kredit
  • Hledání adresy (geokódování, zpětné geokódování, našeptávání) = 4 kredity
  • Plánování trasy = 4 kredity
  • Volání funkce nadmořské výšky = 4 kredity
  • 1 dlaždice panoramy = 1 kredit
  • Maticové plánování = 40 kreditů

250 000 kreditů se tak hodí zejména pro menší projekty. Pokud ale splníme podmínky, dostaneme 10 000 000 kreditů, které by měly stačit na větší projekty o několika tisících přístupech každý měsíc. Vše ale samozřejmě závisí na tom, jak moc aktivní budou jednotliví uživatelé.

O spotřebovaných kreditech má uživatel přehled ve svém účtu včetně napojení seznam pěněženky pro případně překročení měsíčního limitu.

Maticové plánování

Co je to maticové plánování? V březnu 2024 mapy.cz přidaly novou funkci tzv. maticového plánování. Tato funkce může sloužit pro rychlé rozhodovací procesy a hledání optimálních tras mezi m starty a n cíly.

Praktická ukázka, která řeší optimalizaci cesty sítě taxíků k zákaznikovi. Velice zajímavá fuknce avšak při použití se připravte na vyšší konzumaci kreditů: 40 kreditů za jedno volání.

Jakou mapu zvolit?

Za mě je odpověď jednoduchá, v České republice rozhodně mapy.cz, pokud mám dostatek financí 😊. Jsou přehledné a lidé jsou na ně zvyklí.
